BIBLE: We reviewed unit 9 by playing an information bingo game.

GEOGRAPHY: We spend about 50+ minutes on Mini-Exam review. Tomorrow is the day for the test.

MONDAY

Bible: We again took some notes on the Zealots and Essenes, the last two Jewish factions we will study. There was not assignment other than memory work. I Peter 2: 9,10,12

Geography: We are working quickly through the Asia book to get the Mini-Exam in this Thursday. The assignment today was to read pages 162-171 and complete both sides of a worksheet. I tried to make sure they had at least 20 minutes in class for this.

WEDNESDAY

BIBLE: We did another note day today. We went over material about the Sadducees, the second of four Jewish sects.

GEOGRAPHY: We watched a 4 minute video on Jerusalem from a rather secular perspective. We also wrapped up chapters 5 and 6 with an open book "test" to be used as a review for our Mini-Exam next Thursday.

TUESDAY

BIBLE: Today we read in class pages 185-189 about the Pharisees. We took some notes about this sect of Jews. We will be looking at two other groups as well. Next memory is

I Peter 2: 9,10 and 12. It is due in one week.

GEOGRAPHY: The assignment is to read pages 148-157 and complete a worksheet. There will be time in class tomorrow to finish it before it is collected.

BIBLE: Today we read together in class the lesson on the Rise of Rome. No written assignment.

GEOGRAPHY: We read a sheet on Palestine, then did some summary statements on MOODLE. The rest of the time was used to rea pages 143-147 and prepare for a quiz on Tuesday.

BIBLE: We reviewed Hanukkah with a brief video.

GEOGRAPHY: We did another 5 question DOG, then created an Inspiration on pages 138-141. Most had it done in class.

BIBLE: We worked on the Feast of Dedication, with a group worksheet. It should be ready to hand in Friday.
GEOGRAPHY:The assignment is to read pp 132-137. There is a worksheet to complete, take notes on the side because there may be a quiz on Friday as well.

Wednesday

With Tulip Time comes an earlier closing. Check todays Blue Note for changes in bus schedules for the rest of the month. Today with shorter classes, I used the opportunity to finish research with 7B on Living Through History. In 7A and C, we looked at the National Geographic recent production on "The Human Footprint". Kids, share some of the facts you learned, like what would be the result of our recycling all our aluminum cans. AS far as homeowrk, just make sure you have the test review sheet finished by Thursday.

TUESDAY (and Monday-sorry)

BIBLE: Today we took some notes on the Seleucid rulers of Palestine. The reading only assignment was pages 175-178.
GEOGRAPHY: The assignment for today was to read pages 119-127 and create an Inspiration document dealing with the climate, plant life and natural resources of southwest Asia.
PRAYER COUNTRY: Myanmar. Over 22,000 have been confirmed dead in the recent storms. Most are Buddhist,
